October 2011
The Airport Board is pleased to announce that as of noon on October 6, 2011, the runway and ramp area at Livingston’s Mission Field Airport will be OPEN for air traffic. It is still advisable for pilots to check NOTAM’s for any special circumstances. We thank you for your patience while we made extensive upgrades to our runway and ramp!
September 2011
The Airport Board has received the second half of funding for the FAA sponsored project at Mission Field and that effective this coming Friday, September 9th, the apron and ramp areas of the airport will be closed until approximately October 14, 2011.
On Friday, the contractors will begin to set up the equipment needed to remove the existing pavement and begin the actual removal. When this project is completed, we will have a facility that should require no additional construction on this scale for approximately 20 years!
The Airport Board will be keeping folks as closely informed as possible during this period, and please, feel free to contact either Jerri Miller at 223-8460, or Kerry LaDuke, Board Chairman at 222-1144. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; but hope that other arrangements to hangar or move your aircraft can be made.
June 2011
Construction will begin on the Mission Field airport runway 4-22 on 7/18/2011 and it will be temporarily closed. The sod runway and taxiway will be open and available and fueling will still be available to a large extent. Please check NOTAM's for up-to-date information. We will update as frequently as possible.
