WILD
WEST CARNIVAL
We are pleased to offer a carnival this year. Jeff Carter and his crew
will offer eight different rides with the old time favorite rides, such
as the Ferris wheel, the pony carosel and Apple ready to ride. While
the Scrambler will fulfill the tweens and teens sense of adventure.
Nevertheless, it will be fun for the whole family! The carnival will be
open from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On
Saturday, it is open from 12 Noon to 8:00 p.m.

ULTIMATE DESSERT
Local Folks will submit a favorite dessert of their choice for judging.
Judging will take place on Thursday, August 6th at 2:00 p.m. in the
Exhibit Building.

COMMISSIONERS' PIE TASTING CONTEST
Baked dessert pies will be judged by the County Commissioners on
Wednesday, August 5th at 2:00 p.m. in the Exhibit Building. Pies must
be entered by 1:00 p.m. to compete in this contest. Baked Pies can be
any type of dessert pie, but must be in a 9" inch pie pan.
Must be complete when entered. No whipping cream or ice cream added at
Fairgrounds No TARTS! NO TORTES!

CINNAMON ROLL CONTEST
Find one of Grandma's favorite cinnamon roll recipes and enter it into
the Cinnamon Roll Contest. Cinnamon Rolls must be uniform in size. Your
Cinnamon Rolls will be judged by the Park County Fair Board. Cinnamon
Rolls do not have to be entered as an exhibit in the Open Class Foods
Department to participate in this contest. But you must have your
Cinnamon Rolls in the Food Dept. by 1:00 p.m. for them to be judged at
2:00 p.m. August 7th.

FOOD FUN FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Saturday morning, August 8th, at 11:00 p.m., come join the first Food
Fun Contest at the Fair. Show off your creativity. Design something
ornamental, a creature, or a sculpture using raw fruits and vegetables!
All entries must be original and designed in Park County. All ages are
encouraged to participate in the contest. Rosette and prize money will
be awarded to the winners.

THE BALYEAT FAMILY
Bob & Nancy Balyeat and five of their children, travel all over
the
country singing and sharing their faith at fairs, festivals, churches
or clubs. Their warm versatile style has been a blessing to many
events, bringing the sunshine of hope and the freshness of laughter.

LOUIS ARMENTARO
Louie's involvement with the fair has been tremendous for 52
consecutive years! He has worn a few different hats at the Park County
Fair Grounds too. Louie has announced livestock shows, food contests,
and one of his favorites was announcing the 4-H & FFA Rodeo for
thirty continuous years. Besides announcing and taking care of the
sound needs for the fair, Louie loves to play the steel guitar. He
started in 1950, and he continues to play more then ever and promises
to play for plenty more years. Make sure to come hear Louie's steel
guitar music in the Dining Room throughout the fair. AUG 5th from 12-2PM.....6th from12-2PM and 6-8p.m.....7th from 12-2PM in the DINING ROOM.

BILL WILLIAMS
Bill Williams was raised in Nebraska where he started to participate in
Rodeo events at the age of 16. His interest in horses and cattle
evolved from working with the livestock on the Rodeo circuit. Bill
started playing guitar and singing as a teen. Traditional country
ballads were his inspiration, and he would like to bring them back to
country music. Most recently, Bill has opened for country star Ian
Tyson several times on the 2005 Gravel Road Tour, and has joined the
Pretty Good String Band at The 63 Ranch and the Cowboy & Ranch
Heritage Week, opening for songwriter Stephanie Davis. AUG 97h 4p.m.-6p.m. DINING ROOM.
CIMARRON WIND MUSIC
Patty Clayton is a performing songwriter from Colorado coming to perform during the fair from Aug. 5th-7th. She was the 2007 Western Female Vocalist of the year by the Academy of Western Artists and the 2004 Female Performer of the year by the Western Music Association. Her songs are original ballads and "borrowed" songs that celebrate the present and yesteryears of the west. Come and listen to Patty Clayton this year at the fair!!
Poultry in Motion
Banjo player, Robert Grosvenor, was born at an early age near Owensboro, Kentucky and was raised-up listening to Southern Baptist Gospel and old-time Country Music. Playing with his dad he developed a love and passion for the music which continues to this day. Robert is joined by Ken Nelson on bass, Jack Ausick on the fiddle, and John Roberts on guitar who all share Robert's love for acoustic music. Come and enjoy an afternoon of fine bluegrass with Poultry in Motion...S.W. Montana's premier acoustic band.

A Montana Magician and balloonist who will perform throughout the fair.

LOU'S TRAVELING ZOO
Lou's Traveling Zoo is a petting zoo designed with agriculture in mind.
Entertaining and educating for people of all ages, Lou's Zoo focuses on
animals that are part of the current and historical agricultural
economy of the Northern Plains. Lou's tame and friendly animals include
a pony (rides will be available), calves, sheep, ducks, pigs, and more.
Demonstrations of animal related activities such as milking, egg
gathering, butter churning and more will also occur. See Lou's
Traveling Zoo from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday through
Friday and 9:30a.m. to 1:30p.m. on Saturday.

PARK COUNTY FAIR DEMOLITION DERBY
-CO-SPONSORED BY THE PARK FFA ALUMNI-
See local, state, and regional drivers duke it out in the Park County
Fairgrounds Arena Sunday, August 9th at 1:00 p.m.! Various car classes
and heats will be featured. General admission is $10.00. Concessions
will be available.

PARK COUNTY EXHIBITORS' STORE
Saturday, August 8th, from 10:00 am until 1:00 p.m., the Park County
Fair is having the Exhibitors' Store. This will be operating as a
market place for those exhibitors interested in selling their products,
whether it is clothing, cooking, or arts and crafts. All interested
exhibiters are welcome to sell at the store booth in the EXHIBIT
BUILDING. No fee, but registration is required --call the Fair Office
at 222-4185 before ten on Saturday.

TALLEST SUNFLOWER CONTEST
Gargantuan Sunflowers will be judged on their height from highest root
to highest point on Thursday, Aug 6th! Gift certificates will be awarded to the
three tallest entries. Winners will be announced on Saturday, August
8th at 11:00 p.m. in the Exhibit Building.

TWEETIE'S BIRDHOUSE
Park County Fair is looking for birdhouses of all sorts......Create any
design you choose and enter it in the Creative Crafts Department by
Friday, Aug. 7th, by 1:00 p.m. Your birdhouse does not have to be
entered as an exhibit to participate in this contest. Your birdhouse
will be judged by the Park County Fair Board.

CHERRY PIT SPIT
The Fair's cherry pit spitting contest will occur on Saturday, August
8th at 11:00 a.m. in the Sale Barn. We will have four age groups
depending on who signs up, with the top spitter in each group earning a
prize. This is great fun for all ages.
PCF GAMEROOM
The PCF Game room will be located in the addition of the Exhibit Building. It will be open 10:00a.m. to 9:00p.m.Wednesday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00p.m. on Saturday. Games there include an air hockey table, dart board, pool table, a WII, bingo and a pinball machine. Come and enjoy the Game Room!

PARK COUNTY BINGO
Come to the addition off the Exhibit Building and play bingo all ages welcome to
participate.
Bingo can be traced back to a lottery game called "Lo Giuoco Code Loto"
played in Spain in 1530. By the eighteenth century, the game had
matured, and in France, playing cards, tokens, the reading out of
numbers had been added to the game. In the nineteenth century, Bingo
was widely used in Germany for educational purposes to teach children
spelling, animal names, and multiplication tables.

ELK BUGLING CONTEST
Even though hunting season is a few months away, why not
start
practicing now! You can demonstrate your skills with the rest of Park
County's buglers in the Sale Barn at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 8th,
2009.There will some great prizes to win too.

display, various musical artists, PFC Gameroom and the various other
vendors during your time at Our Fair.

22nd ANNUAL SHIELDS VALLEY FFA PIG WRESTLING CONTEST
The fun and hilarity continue for the 22nd year, with the
Shields
Valley FFA's annual Pig Wrestling contest. Pig Wrestling is a favorite
event for spectators and participants alike. The Calcutta is sponsored
by the Shields Valley FFA Alumni, starting at 7:30 p.m. Check out the
festivities on Saturday, August 8th in the Arena at 8:00 p.m.

4-H KITCHEN, AS ALWAYS, IS LOCATED IN THE EXHIBIT BUILDING AND WILL BE
OPEN ALL FOUR DAYS OF THE FAIR. COME AND SAMPLE REAL HOME COOKING!
56th ANNUAL 4-H AND FFA JUNIOR RODEO
Rodeo starts at 5:00 p.m. in the arena on Wednesday, August 5th.
ADMISSION IS FREE!

PARK FFA CHAPTER'S KIDS' RELAYS-SUNDOWN SHOWDOWN
Wednesday evening, August 5th conjunction with the 4-H
& FFA
Junior Rodeo. All ages of boys and girls are encouraged to participate
in the Kids' O-MOK-SEE. Excitement will fill the arena as young cowboys
and cowgirls participate in sheep riding, dash for cash, and the famous
tire race.

PARK FFA ALUMNI OASIS
Enjoy a burger, beer, or soft drink at the concession stand
located at the arena. The "OASIS" Beer Garden is run by Park FFA Alumni
and is open at 5:00 p.m. daily. Alcohol is not permitted on the
fairgrounds except at the "OASIS" and in the arena. YOU MUST BE 21
YEARS OF AGE TO PURCHASE ALCOHOL. Violators will be prosecuted.

4-H LIVESTOCK SALE BUYERS DINNER & PREVIEW
The 4-H buyers' dinner commity provides a dinner and market animal preview to
potential buyers, Friday, Aug 7th,
From 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

4-H & FFA Livestock Sale
The 4-H and FFA Market Stock Sale will be held Friday, August 7th at 6:00p.m. in the Sale Pavillion.
