You must be a member of Park County Refuse District #1 to use the Green Box sites and Transfer Station. If you have current tags you are a member. Members get 2 tags. Current tag permits must be displayed in vehicle. Additional tags are ten dollars each per household.

Tags cover all household waste and your first ton of non-household waste at either the landfill or roll-offs. Fees$45 per ton thereafter with a $5 minimum.

Refuse tags can be purchased and picked up at the Park County commissioner Office, City/County Complex, 414 E. Callendar Street, Livingston, MT 59047.

    Green Boxes

Hours: Drive Through gates: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Closed Wednesdays, Sundays and Holidays.

Walk through gates always open
You must have your tag in the vehicle
No charge for household garbage in bags or sealed boxes
Blowable material must be contained!
(Passenger car or Light Truck Tires) $2.00 each
Blowable trash from construction or remodeling must be contained- $49 per ton, $5 minimum
At the discretion of the attendant you may be sent to the landfill depending on the size or contents of your load.
No Batteries
Batteries must be taken to the Transfer Station
Uncontaminated waste oil and antifreeze must be taken to the transfer station

No contractors are allowed to dump at the Greenbox Sites

Transfer Station

Hours: 8am to 5pm
Closed Wednesdays, Sundays and holidays. .
No charge for household garbage. It must be contained in either bags or sealed boxes.
Blowable construction waste must be unloaded inside the facility- $49.00 per ton, for refuse members only.
 $5.00 minimum
Tires (Passenger and Light Truck)- $2.00 each .
Uncontaminated waste oil- No charge
Uncontaminated antifreeze- No charge
Batteries- No charge

Landfill

Summer Hours: Monday through Saturday 7:00 A.M–5:00 P.M. (Closed Holidays)
Winter Hours: Monday through Saturday 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. (Closed Holidays)

No charge for leaves, branches, brush, or metal which is included in the $185 membership fee.

. Depending on load and volume, the fee will be determined by the landfill supervisor.
· Additional tonnage for members: $45 per ton, with a $5 minimum charge.
· All contractors (District members and non-members) and non-members will be charged $75 per ton.
· All appliances containing Freon must be drained and the appliances must be tagged before dumping.

· BLOWABLES NOT ALLOWED

** Recycling**

Glass, cans and newspaper at the following sites; Transfer Station, Emigrant, Clyde Park and Wilsall (Uncontaminated motor oil and antifreeze, batteries; Transfer Station ONLY)

Nonwaxed corrugated cardboard: (For Refuse District Members Only)- Cooke City, Gardiner, Chico and the transfer Station
