The Park County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue is a group of volunteer citizens that train for and respond to a variety of incidents within the county. Our volunteers bring a wide array of skills and are utilized to search for missing persons, respond to wilderness and water rescue emergencies, and assist in the rescue of injured persons.
PCSAR is organized and maintained by the Sheriff’s Office in accordance with Montana State statute. Currently we have 2 SAR Coordinators. These individuals set up trainings, maintain equipment, oversee volunteer functions, and act as incident commanders during incidents.
If you have any questions about our Search and Rescue program, feel free to contact one of our SAR Coordinators. They can be reached through the Livingston/Park County Dispatch Center at 406-222-2050.
