Past and present Park County, Montana residents are invited to participate in Vignettes of History: Cultural Landscapes of Park County, a new ulti-media exhibit that portrays well-known and obscure cultural landscapes of Park County—the exterior of buildings, roads, fences, bridges, rock structures, and other “permanent” human-made structures. Submissions must have been completed within the last year.
All media, including photographs, paintings, drawings, fiber, sculptural pieces and more are encouraged. Two-dimensional pieces must be ready to hang; maximum allowable dimension in either direction is 24” (including mat and frame). Three-dimensional pieces must be no greater than 24” in any direction. Each artist may submit two pieces but because of space constraints one piece may be returned. Location of subject must be in Park County and identified to the selection board. Artists can mark their pieces for sale; the museum will charge a 40% commission. Deadline for submission is April 1, 2019. The artwork will be displayed in the Expedition Room of the museum from June 2019 through September 2019.
