SHEEP RANCHING AT YGM OCTOBER FAMILY DAYS

10/27/2022 - SHEEP RANCHING AT YGM OCTOBER FAMILY DAYS

he Yellowstone Gateway Museum in Livingston announces a sheep-themed Family Days on Saturday, August 27, from 10am to 12pm. Cindi Scheidt demonstrates the art of spinning wool into yarn between 10am and 11:30am, and will have samples of bison, angora, alpaca, and wool on hand. She is the owner of Ikennits, a home-based business that sells hand-knitted items. The museum also provides hands-on sheep ranching activities for families, including simple loom weaving using different colored yarns, and the opportunity for young crafters to create their own sheep. The museum will be open for exploration.

Family Days is a program at the museum held on the last Saturday of each month. Families can visit the museum and participate in different activities that encourage exploration of the museum through different themes. Admission is free. The program is made possible in part by a grant from the Community Closet.
